Our Why Matagorda G.E.M.S. stands for Girls Empowered through Motivation and Softball. We created this league not just to teach the fundamentals of softball, but to build confidence, leadership, life skills, and opportunity for girls ages 5–18 — especially those who need it most.
Too often, girls in underserved communities miss out on sports due to cost, access, or lack of encouragement. We’re here to change that.
What Makes Us Different We’re more than a league — we’re a movement.
